I am part of a book club and would like to share our information
How this works:
If you are part of a book club that would like to be listed on our site, we offer a 20% discount to registered clubs and their members. In order to receive the discount each member must register an account with us dictating which book club they are apart of. We encourage group leaders, or the individual members, to call ahead of time to tell us how many books they will need and by what date so we can have them on hand. We can only place orders if it is guaranteed that you will be purchasing them from our location. We ask that if you are not sure how many members will need books, to only order one for yourself. The book clubs will be listed like the example below.
To register we will need a brief description of the type of books you read, if there is a preferred age range to your group, if you are welcoming new members, is there a max number of members, how often you meet, and what town you usually meet, we know location can vary but we find it important to say it's mainly in Corolla, Duck, Central Outer Banks, Manteo, or Down South. We will also need two main contacts for the group, this will be the point person(s) for keep track of member limits and letting new members know what the next book is, where to meet, and when. If the point of contacts change it is important that you let us know as soon as possible so we can update the site here.
I would like to join a book club, where should I look?
If you would like to join a bookclub we ask that you contact the main point of contacts for the group you are interested in. Once you have been accepted into that group, the group leader will need to inform us of your name and contact information to register you in our stores for the 20% discount.

Each group may have their own rules and regulations to follow, but Island Bookstore asks that if you are reaching out via our portal that you... "be nice rules here"

Island Bookstore Club
We meet once a month at TBD. We meet on the 1st Thursday of every month at 5:30 pm. We read books released within this year, often a fictional book from the best sellers. Ascension Book Club
About Us: We read both fiction and Non-fiction books Our book club is a space for seekers, dreamers, and consciousness explorers. We focus on books that awaken inner wisdom, expand spiritual awareness, and inspire personal transformation. From timeless spiritual classics to modern metaphysical teachings, our selections explore themes like self-discovery, multidimensional consciousness, sacred feminine wisdom, and the journey of the soul. Whether drawn from mysticism, quantum healing, or visionary fiction, each book invites deep reflection and soulful conversation.
How we chose our books: With our guiding focus in mind, we collectively suggest books and vote the next book after we finish the prior.
How often do we meet up: We meet at 10am to 12pm, every 4th Sunday, at Ascension in Kill Devil Hills

Who usually comes: We welcome all genders and ages. Our members ages range from mid 20s to early 70s, with several baby appearances. We currently don't have a limit to the number of members and, while each month varies, we usually have around 8-10 people join.
